ARCHITECTURE AND ENVIRONMENT
The module introduces the components of environmental conditions and issues. It focuses on human intervention affecting the environment both positively and negatively and the relationship of buildings with the natural system. Additionally the module introduces the basic elements of climate and their influences on architecture, which aims to create acceptable environmentally conscious and comfortable building designs.

CREATIVE ESSAY
In a group of 4, we are to choose and research a topic related to “What is Sustainable Architecture?” Our topic can be historical, present, or prospective that is data-centric, analytical, fictional, critical, or conceptual. Pictures, images, tables, charts and diagrams of our city concept are required in the essay to give better understanding for our objective. Our research essay will then be placed portrait in 2A4 Paper.

CASE STUDY
In a group of 6, we are to choose an building with daylight integration that affects the spatial design. This assignment aims on identify architectural idea/concept, how the ambiance is created,sustainability features of this lighting system and also focus on the effect of comfort factors in a person and in a space relating to Lighting. Autodesk Revit / Sketchup are required to analyse on the Daylighting and sustainability of this space. Our Research Poster will then be placed in 2A3 Paper.

REFLECTION
In this module, I had better understanding about the relationship between architecture and environment which taught me how the climate and location affects the design of a building. I had also learned how to use softwares like Revit in order for us to model out the building/space chosen in our assignments.

I had faced some challenges while doing my course works in this module, but thankfully I am glad that I was able to go through it with the help and guidances from tutors and my groupmates for both assignments.

Although I am having classes fully online for this short semester, it was not a big deal since there are recordings and slides given for us to self-revision. I was still able to finish the works and assignments successfully.
